Our Inner Clocks
It's the middle of the week already. How time flies. As you move around in your sphere of influence I want you to remember that and make every minute count. Take an inventory of the things you've accomplished. Are they what you wanted to do or were you distracted by the side roads and decided to turn off the course? How many of them were really crucial? How many were just something to do?
Look at the list of still to do. what does that look like? Does it still seem long and endless? Is it still full of the really important? What does that say about your time and the way that you have organised it? I know what it says about mine. Sometimes in making our to do lists we neglect to take the time to prioritise; to put the important things first. In this fast paced world it is important to make sure that we make time to do the things that are surely necessary for our survival like spending time every morning to say "Thank you God", like spending time with our loved ones in prayer, especially our children.
God has given us 24 hours in which to operate.(Ecclesiastes 3) It behooves us to plan our activities in such a way that we make ample use of it so that we go to bed at the end of the day, satisfied and thankful. Why not take that inventory now . Let's make each second count as something meaningful.
Ecclesiastes 1:1Why not take a few minutes to read:
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
As you go through your to do list and take note of the not so important, how many of them are you prepared cross off your list?
If we take the step and remove some of them will they really take away from our lives?
